Praying in other tongues

Text:James 5:16 “…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Beloved, You are made righteous by the perfect sacrifice of Jesus. Any time you pray, power is released in your life for dominion. It is important to know that your prayers make tremendous power available to effect changes in your live particularly as you pray in other tongues.

Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem …”

This “power” here, is the dynamic ability to cause changes or produce proofs; and it is at work in you now. You release it for miracles in your life when you pray in other tongues. When we pray in other tongues, you are placing a “faith-demand” on the finished work of calvary because you are praying from a position of “rest”. Praying from rest simply means that you are praying with a consciousness of the finished work of calvary; knowing that the work has been done and that victory has been won for you by Christ.

When you pray in other tongues, you edify yourself. To “edify” means to build up; to improve and strengthen yourself spiritually.

1Corinthians 14:4 “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself…”

When you pray in other tongues you are praying in line with God’s perfect will. In other words, when you pray in other tongues, you give room for the holy spirit to pray perfect prayers through you. This means you will always have victory.

Romans 8: 27 “And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”

The Holy Spirit is the only person that knows the mind of God and He also makes intercession for us when we pray in other tongues. That simply means that you can not pray amiss when you pray in other tongues. Added to this is the fact that you position yourself to receive maximally from the Lord. Praying in other tongues is praying in a “receiving” mode.

Child of God, find grace to begin to invest a lot more time in praying in other tongues; the possibilities are limitless.
