Text: John 10:10. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Beloved, Jesus came to give us the abundant life. The amplified translation of the bible calls it “a rich and satisfying life to the full, till it overflows”. “Rich” here doesn’t mean one or two million dollars in your account, even though that is good. It actually means being abundantly supplied and having every need met at any point in time.

The abundant life is the “Zoe” of God – the very life of God Himself. It is the everlasting life; the dynamic life giving life. It is a superior quality of life that produces of its self.

This is the life God designed for Himself; He now gave it to us in Christ Jesus. You receive this life the moment you get born again, and this “life” is the resurrection life; the same life that God used to resurrect Jesus from the dead. It is superior to any problem common to man; be it poverty, sickness or death.

Is it not wonderful to know that you have this “God kind of life” working in you now? A consciousness of this enables you live victoriously and reign in this life as a king through Jesus Christ.

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” Romans 8: 11.

This resurrection life is at work in you now; quickening and revitalizing your mortal body. To stay free of any kind of sorrow, you need to allow this truth dominate your thinking and rule your life.
